Founded in 2012 by a team of passionate travellers and former tour guides, Sixth Gear LTD was born from a simple belief: that travel is most meaningful when it is personal, expertly guided and genuinely revelatory.
Based at 26 Mosley Street in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, we have spent over a decade building deep relationships with the finest hotels, guides and local partners across six of Europe's most extraordinary countries. Every itinerary we create is the product of that hard-won knowledge.

James spent three years living in Lyon before joining Sixth Gear. He has visited every region of France and Italy, and his specialist knowledge of Tuscany, the Loire Valley and the Amalfi Coast is unrivalled in the team.
Born in Thessaloniki, Sofia brings authentic Greek knowledge to every itinerary. She has explored 28 of Greece's inhabited islands and spent two seasons guiding in Andalusia, giving her unmatched expertise across both countries.
A Berlin native who fell in love with Lisbon during a year abroad, Marcus brings an insider's eye to both countries. His knowledge of the Douro Valley wine region and the German Romantic Road is particularly sought-after by clients.
